Achieve compliance and faster roofing installation

BS 5534 is the code of practice for installing slates and tiles. It covers everything from batten selection and dry-fixing to calculations for wind uplift. While the standard isn't required by law, following its guidelines will help to aid compliance with the Building Regulations.

Base layers

JB Red Battens are the only machine-graded battens on the market, so you can be sure they're strong and durable. We also offer a choice of high-performance underlays, both vapour-permeable and non-breathable, depending on the home's ventilation requirements. And for fire safety between adjoining properties, our Roof Defence fire barrier will add an extra layer of protection for people and their properties.

Roof coverings

With roof coverings ranging from clay and concrete tiles to timber shingles and shakes, housebuilders can select products to suit any sector, geographical location and aesthetic required, including low-pitch options down to 12.5 degrees. We also offer fully integrated solar panels that contribute towards Part L compliance.

Roofing accessories
